A beautiful doorpost in perfect condition from Afghanistan. This type of object was placed just above the entrance of nomadic tents. It protected the occupants from the evil eye and indicated their ethnic group or locality. This one is particularly interesting because of its patterns and colors. Rather rare, this ornament is highly decorative and perfectly suited for hanging on a wall or as a bedside table in a bedroom.
