Here is a small work which, in my opinion, embodies everything a successful painting should have: a magnificent composition, superb light, great technical mastery, and atmosphere. It is the vision of an artist sensitive to a simple and true nature. He signed it in the lower left corner, AF Bonnardel, a well-documented painter of the Lyon school. He was a student of Zacharie and JB Poncet. He painted nudes, portraits, landscapes, still lifes, and flowers. This work, I believe, was painted around 1890. The painting is ready to be framed. Dimensions: 27 cm x 21 cm. Perfect condition. On the back, a wax seal and label from a framer in Lyon. Quality and charm, a work full of sensitivity.
