Two charming views of the port of Les Sables d'Olonne, dated August 1917 on the back and signed lower left (signature to be deciphered). Painted on wood, one depicts the port at sunset and the other the arrival of the fishing boats with women in traditional headdresses queuing in front of the vessels. Note a slight warping of one of the panels. The paint layer has been cleaned and is now noticeably brighter.
