The piece is composed of two panels joined and sewn together, a distinctive feature of most 19th-century kilims. The weave is extremely tight and even. A true work of art! Beautiful, harmonious plant-based hues. Like a signature, exquisite braided net fringes, a hallmark of Kurdish craftsmanship. The indigo blues are breathtaking! Circa 1880/1900.
