"Longwy Henri II Pattern Dinner Service"
A splendid and rare "Henri II" pattern dinner service in fine earthenware, in the style of Saint-Porchaire ceramics, decorated in sepia and green in a Renaissance style with a central motif of three interlaced crescents and other interlacing patterns. Green highlights adorn the raised elements, such as the mascaron-shaped handles on the shaped pieces. It bears two markings: a circular impressed mark of Longwy, which dates the service to the beginning of its production, and a sepia mark of Henri II - Longwy. The service comprises 44 pieces: 18 dinner plates, 10 dessert plates, 6 soup plates, 2 large kidney-shaped relish dishes, a vegetable dish, three round platters (one of which is deep), a covered gravy boat, a salad bowl, a tall serving dish, and a cake plate. It will make your table a unique, refined, and truly beautiful setting. Good condition. A few minor chips here and there, slight variations in color between pieces. The Henri II service is the most prestigious of the services produced by Longwy. Its production began around 1882 and continued until 1908. Please note that I respond to all inquiries about my items.
