18th-century Double-bottle Shagreen Dressing Set With Fly Box
This rare shagreen vanity case has two compartments.
The first contains:
- Two crystal bottles with silver stoppers, complete with their small emery-polished inner stoppers.
- An ivory notebook with a green-tinted cover, containing four ivory pages and a silver hinge ferrule.
- A green-tinted ivory screw-top pencil case with a silver-gilt pencil holder (present and original!).
The second compartment is a fly box, fitted with a mirror framed in embossed metallic paper and lined with pink satin. Unidentified hallmarks on the silver stoppers. Silver or silver-plated hinges and push buttons.
COMPLETE AND IN EXCELLENT CONDITION!
