A superb and elegant 19th-century Restoration period mahogany salon suite. It comprises a two- or three-seater sofa and four armchairs. The sofa rests on a console base featuring a scroll at the top, a curved apron, and scrolled armrests. The armchairs differ slightly in that the scrolled armrests are supported by a palmette-decorated mounting block, and the scrolls themselves are raised. The entire suite is upholstered in embossed velvet with a palmette and foliage pattern. A high-quality piece in very good condition, the seats are clean and comfortable.
