After living in Paris, this famous Spanish illustrator settled in Egypt in the early 1900s, primarily to teach drawing. Specializing in political and social caricature, he worked for *AL-Kashkoul* and *L’Égypte nouvelle*, where he created satirical portraits as well as depictions of political figures.
In this caricature, we see two young children, newspapers under their arms, being apprehended by a public official. The scene is depicted in a humorous manner, which was avant-garde for the time.
