Magnificent 17th-century pen drawing on paper. The corners have been restored, but overall it is in beautiful condition. It bears no visible signature, but I believe it to be a remarkable work by the great 17th-century French artist Raymond de La Fage (born around 1650 in Lisle-sur-Tarnet, died in Lyon in 1684). I have included the paragraph dedicated to him in the Bénézit dictionary, as well as a photograph of a very similar work by the artist. The drawing is presented in an antique frame with some minor losses. Dimensions of the sheet alone: 25.8 cm x 18 cm. In the frame: 35.5 cm x 28 cm.
