"Norman-style Wedding Wardrobe In Oak Wood "
A beautiful oak wedding armoire in the Louis XV/Louis XVI Transition style. It dates from the 19th century. It opens with two doors on the front, which open and close with latches. It is decorated with Louis XV moldings accompanied by Louis XVI beadwork, central medallions on the doors, and a bouquet of flowers on its upper rail. It is topped with a solid, richly molded cornice and rests on cabriole legs carved with beadwork on the front and straight legs at the rear. Its back, floor, and ceiling are also made of oak, as are its three shelves. The entire armoire is in perfect original condition. It has its original lock and key, as well as the latches and keyhole escutcheons. It is, of course, fully pegged! A very fine example of Norman craftsmanship in perfect 19th-century condition.
