Emile Colin, Orientalist Bronze Clock, 19th Century, Circa 1870. A sublime Orientalist clock by Emile Colin, crafted in chased bronze, featuring architecture inspired by Moorish palaces. The upper section of this clock is adorned with a chased dome surmounted by a spire. This piece, entirely made of gilt and silvered bronze, is decorated with arabesques, floral motifs, interlacing patterns, and stylized foliage. Its four richly worked faces are framed by columns with lozenge-shaped geometric decoration, resting on sculpted bases. The circular frame, finely embossed with floral decoration, is signed Emile Colin et Cie, Paris, and encircled by a gilt molding. It features openwork hands and is equipped with a Japy Frères movement. Includes its key and pendulum.
