An ivory netsuke depicting a mokugyō (wooden temple drum) with two dragon heads meeting at the center. Their open jaws hold the sacred Buddhist jewel, which serves as the cord hole. The ivory displays a uniform blonde patina.
Period: Edo, mid-19th century.
Dimensions: 3.1 × 3.3 × 2.3 cm.
Condition: Excellent. Natural age lines in the ivory are present.
