Copper And Bronze Lantern, Morocco, Late 19th Century.
This six-sided Orientalist lamp is composed of three parts: - the body with six glazed "windows" featuring trefoil cut-out motifs, one of which can be opened. These are punctuated by six small bronze columns. This body is surmounted by a "crown"-shaped gallery, adorned with four colored glass cabochons on each side. - the recessed upper section, shaped like a minaret with six cut-out faces decorated with stars. It is also adorned with six glass cabochons. - the base, a "lamp base," is also cut out and adorned with six cabochons. It terminates in a bronze drip tray. This lovely lantern provides light and has its original suspension system. Very good original condition.
