"Terracotta Sculpture "the Comedy" Sv Lcvasse "
Louis Claude VASSE (1717-1772) after the marble preserved in the Louvre Museum. Comedy in the guise of a young woman dressed in classical style, seated on a pedestal, holding a mask in one hand and manuscripts at her feet. In poor condition, with a lovely patina. Height 58 cm. Dimensions of the pedestal 24 x 20 cm. Work from the 19th century. Vasse's marble, dated 1765, was exhibited at the Salon of 1766.
