"Antique Silver Dinner Service (800/1000), Gutig Hallmark, Germany, Circa 1900–1930"
An elegant 800/1000 solid silver dinner service, made by the Gutig firm, a German silversmith active at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The “Gutig 800” hallmark, along with the official German hallmarks (crescent and crown), attests to the quality and authenticity of the precious metal. The service features a refined rocaille and floral decoration, finely chased on the handles, in a neo-rococo style typical of the period. Some pieces are gilded on the inside.
