Emile Valentin Cardinal, like his father, became a painter. He painted nudes, flowers, and animals, primarily cats. Bénézit states that he exhibited from 1920 to 1932 at the Salon des Indépendants and the Salon de la Nationale. He settled in Paris in 1933 and died there on October 26, 1958.
