Large Bronze By Mathurin Moreau
We present this spectacular bronze sculpture by Mathurin Moreau, "Woman with a Bird." He was born on November 18, 1822, in Dijon and died in Paris on February 14, 1912, in the 19th arrondissement. He was one of three brothers, sculptors, a dynasty: Mathurin (1822), Hyppolite (1832), and Auguste (the youngest, 1834), these are their birth dates in order. Our bronze is quite large, 76 cm tall, signed at the base, and does not have a rotating stand. It has a superb patina.
