"Jacques Aliamet, 18th-century Engravings In Color, Pastoral Scenes "
Pair of engravings from the second half of the 18th century, hand-colored at the time. Signed in the 19th or 20th century after Jacob Philipp Hackert (1737-1807), engraved by Jacques Aliamet (1726-1788). One depicts a pastoral scene, the other a lively landscape known as "View of the Vicinity of Saverne." Very high-quality engravings. Framed in the first half of the 20th century, with old labels on the back from the Versailles auction house and Woog-Meyer (1908-1938), print dealers. Good overall condition, minor marks at the bottom of one mat. Engravings visible size: 23.5 x 16.5 cm; with frame: 34.5 x 28 cm. All questions welcome.
