"Gabriel Combet, Forest Landscape In Périgord, Dordogne, 19th Century"
Oil on canvas from the 19th century, signed lower right by Gabriel Combet, French painter born in Salignac, Dordogne, student of Amédée Baudit (source: Bénézit). This canvas is exhibited at the Périgueux Museum of Fine Arts. It depicts a forest landscape in the Périgord region, an interesting work of brushstrokes with a play of light. The frame is either contemporary or slightly later, in the Barbizon style. The painting is in good overall condition: 54 x 39 cm (painting only), 64 x 58 cm (with frame). All questions welcome.
