We present here the most sought-after issue of this Spanish magazine, which contains a full-page color pochoir print by Joan Miró (*Figures davant el mar*), printed in yellow, red, and black.
This first edition contains this extremely rare pochoir by Miró (from *D'Ací i d'Allà*: *Figures au bord de la mer*); one of only five pochoirs created during his career.
"After their first meeting, Miró and [the architect] Sert continued to meet frequently through the group of painters, sculptors, and art critics belonging to the cultural group known as ADLAN (1932–1936)." Thanks to the joint efforts of ADLAN and GATCPAC—a group of architects active from 1930 to 1936—came "the most representative publication of this period: a special issue of the magazine *D'Ací i d'Allà* focused on 20th-century art—the Christmas 1934 issue—directly supervised by Joan Prats and Josep Lluís Sert and featuring the participation of Joan Miró, marking the first instance of a collaboration between the artist and the architect.
Joan Miró was the central figure of the *D'Ací i d'Allà* issue directed by Sert, once again hailed as a contemporary primitive. In designing the cover and the famous pochoir created specifically for this issue,
Miró succeeded in conveying immense expressive power with minimal resources, using only red, yellow, and black against the white paper background."
