In 1926, David Gueron (1892-1950) took over a former glassworks in Compiègne (Oise), specializing in perfume bottles, which he named "SA Cristalleries de Compiègne." That same year, he founded the "Verrerie d'Art Degué" at 63 Boulevard Malherbes in Paris (factory) and acquired premises at 41 Rue de Paradis in the 10th arrondissement (showroom) to display his production of vases and lighting fixtures in vibrant colors and of high quality. This showroom was later moved to 52 Rue de Londres in Paris.
