Elegant hand-colored print depicting a Venetian lagoon view, with gondolas and small boats in the foreground and, in the background, an architectural ensemble dominated by a slender bell tower and religious and civil buildings.
Probably produced as a lithograph later enhanced with watercolor, the work belongs to the 19th-century Venetian view tradition, much appreciated by Grand Tour travelers.

With a few delicate touches and a restrained palette of brown and bluish-gray tones, the artist conveys a serene and poetic atmosphere of the lagoon, enriched by fine white highlights suggesting reflections on the water and the brightness of the sky.

Presented in a Venetian mid-19th-century frame, carved and gilded with gold leaf.
