The antique painting is housed in a carved and lacquered wooden frame, Montparnasse, from the early 20th century.
It features a composition featuring a rich bouquet of colorful flowers arranged in a ceramic vase.
The soft, creamy brushstroke, typical of oil painting on canvas, enhances the beauty and vitality of the
flowers through a harmonious use of color and light.

Maurice Alfred Decamps (1892-1953) was born in Paris and painted landscapes, but especially flowers.
His teacher was Pierre Montézin, and in 1913 he began exhibiting his works at the "Salon des Artistes Français" in Paris.
He received many awards and honors during his lifetime. In 1926, he received the "Prix de la Savoie" prize, then in 1927
the "Société des Paysagistes" prize, in 1929 the "Raigecourt-Goyon" prize, and finally in 1938 the "Justin Claverie" prize.
The antique frame and oil painting have been carefully and professionally restored. 1930s.
