Painter of portraits, clowns, and figures. Trained at Saint-Luc in Schaerbeek and at the Antwerp Academy. Student of Constant Pellegrin, Jules Brouwers in Vilvoorde, and Henri Logelain, whose distinctive style he adopted. Winner of the Prix de Rome in 1940. Painted a Stations of the Cross for the chapel of the Collège du Sacré-Coeur in Ganshoren. Works in the museums of Brussels and Ghent.
