A spectacular and monumental console and ceremonial mirror set in carved, stuccoed, and gilded wood, in the Venetian Rococo style, Italian work from the 19th century. This exceptional piece of ornamentation embodies all the decorative splendor of Venice, combining the grace of French Rococo with the theatricality of Italian Baroque. Standing at an impressive height of 3.30 meters, this ensemble commands attention with its scale and the virtuosity of its carving, entirely openwork and teeming with scrolls, tendrils, shells, and foliage of masterful execution. The mirror, with its dynamic silhouette, rises in an openwork pediment of great decorative richness. The matching console, resting on cabriole legs connected by a sinuous stretcher, features a deeply carved decoration of acanthus leaves and foliate scrolls. The pink veined marble top enhances its nobility. A high-quality Italian piece, probably Venetian, made around the mid-19th century in the style of the grand palatial decorations of the Settecento.
