"Wedding Globes "
Set of three glass globes on a blackened wood base, containing porcelain vases adorned with floral garlands, ears of wheat, and grapes, made of composite materials, symbols of happiness and prosperity. Height 50 cm. Several wedding globe museums exist in France, including the one in Villesavin (41250), where you can find a wealth of information on this tradition and its symbols, prevalent from the late 19th to the mid-20th century. We offer other globes individually or in sets of two or three; see photos, information available upon request. - On display in our 400 m² gallery in Lille, open Wednesday to Friday afternoons or by appointment.
