"Antique Silver 800 Jewelry Box From The First Half Of The 20th Century, Fascio Period"
                    
                    An elegant 800 silver jewelry box from the first half of the 20th century, regularly hallmarked on the edge of the lid with the 800 diamond-shaped fineness, containing the inscription "48," the symbol of the fasces, and the initials MI, with the silversmith's hallmark in the center. The box is rounded in shape and features a floral and scroll-like relief motif. The central section is embellished with a reddish "Cornelian" stone set in the center, supported by four small feet, all crafted in the shape of acanthus leaves and curls. The interior of the box is entirely lined with vermail. The box was made by silversmith Arno Fassi, active since 1935.
