"Lucius Verus Black Bust 20th Century"
Mid-20th century bust depicting Lucius Verus, another Roman emperor who ruled with his adopted brother Marcus Aurelius from 161 to 169 AD. The bust is a reinterpretation of a marble specimen in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Lucius Verus was sent to the East to direct military operations against the Parthians, and the war ended successfully in 166. Made of plaster, very heavy. In very good condition.
