"China - Pair Of Glazed Terracotta Figures - Sui Dynasty"
Very pretty couple from the Sui Dynasty in glazed terracotta. The lady is wearing a chignon placed on the top of her head, typical of the period, and wears a long dress tightened below the chest with a lace. The male figure is standing on a terrace, probably a standard-bearer. He wears a long tunic tightened at the waist by a belt with an open collar, as well as a pair of boots. The wide-brimmed headdress corresponds to the "futou" of Sui officers. Remains of polychromy. The terracotta is "cream" in color, typical of the Sui period. Very good general condition.
