Louis XIV Period Mirror, Curved Molding In Blackened Pearwood And Carved Gilded Wood, Mid-17th Century
The frame is made of a curved molding, certainly in blackened pear wood giving the effect of ebony, this one is decorated with added motifs carved in scrolls and acanthus leaves in gilded wood.
Two small gilded scroll moldings frame the black molding with refinement.
Antique mercury mirror in very good condition.
