This lithographic stone was engraved by Sergent-Marceau and was used to print engravings representing General Marceau. Sergent Marceau painter and engraver born on 9/10/1751 in Chartres died on 24/07/1847 in Nice. Antoine Louis François Sergent married the sister of General Marceau after which he called himself "Sergent Marceau". Inscription: Printing of the Society of French Lithographers MARCEAU Born in Chartres in 1769 Soldier at 16 years old General at 23 years old killed at 27 years old W/H: 38 X 49 cm. Thickness: 4 cm.
