Artist: Giuseppe Pagano
Seating set including two armchairs, a two-seater sofa, a stool, and a side table. The pieces are upholstered in dark green faux leather, creating a refined contrast with the lightweight bentwood structures. Giuseppe Pagano Pogatschnig was a renowned Italian architect, designer, and editor of Casabella magazine. He helped shape the rationalist architecture of the 1930s and co-designed the 5th and 6th Milan Triennales with Gio Ponti, as well as the Italian pavilion at the 1937 Paris World's Fair. Initially a supporter of fascism, he later distanced himself from the regime, joined the resistance in 1943, and was arrested in 1944. Pogatschnig died in the Mauthausen concentration camp in 1945, a few weeks before the end of the war.
