A finely modelled Royal Worcester porcelain pair from the “Renaissance Musicians” series, model 143 by James Hadley. Each impressed Hadley, dated 1911 (20 dots). Exceptional shot enamel finish in bronze-green and rose-gold tones, used only for exhibition or export pieces. The male figure is known as “Blind Whistler”. These figures are outstanding examples of late Edwardian artistry, with delicate gilding, expressive faces, and naturalistic movement. The technique of shot enamel gives the surface a soft iridescence, prized by Worcester collectors. Rarely encountered as an original matched pair in this excellent preservation. Dimensions: Male 32 × 12 × 13 cm (1065 g); female 30 × 11 × 12 cm (773 g).                                                                                                                                                                      Condition: Excellent, minor tip loss to mandolin.                                                                                                                                                                                Please study the accompanying photographs carefully as they form an integral part of this description. If you have any questions, we will be happy to answer them. The item will be shipped with full tracking and insurance.
