"Art Nouveau Chandelier - Murano - Circa 1905"
Rare Art Nouveau Murano glass chandelier, dated 1905–1910, composed of a central dome and six finely chiseled gilt bronze light arms. The whole is adorned with hundreds of colored glass flowers and petals, made using a unique artisanal technique: each flower was shaped and colored individually, then embroidered with metal thread on an iron frame, forming a three-dimensional floral composition. This method, similar to glass embroidery, gives the piece an airy and lively texture: the light, filtered through the translucent petals, creates an effect of chromatic vibration reminiscent of the stained glass windows of the Belle Époque. The chandelier combines the rigor of the metal structure and the delicacy of the blown glass, testifying to the virtuoso craftsmanship of the Murano workshops at the turn of the century.
