Elegant pair of 1920s period bedside tables, in the Louis XVI style, in light wood and mahogany veneer marquetry.
The furniture rests on four tapered legs and is surmounted by an original white and gray veined marble top, with a softened edge.
The belt is decorated with a beautiful frieze of finely chiseled gilt bronzes with scrolls, flowers and rosettes, also present on the uprights.
Each bedside table opens with a door with geometric marquetry decoration and a drawer with a gilt bronze knob.
Quality work, refined and typical of French productions from the interwar period.
The bronzes are clean and bright, the marquetry on all sides is perfectly preserved as well as the original varnish.
The marbles are in good condition, just note a few non-significant marks. These bedside tables will find their place in a beautiful bedroom.
