Small Louis XV Period Chest Of Drawers In Walnut
Pretty little chest of drawers in solid walnut from the Louis XV period. It opens on the front with four drawers on three rows. It rests on straight legs. The top is in walnut. It is a provincial piece of furniture, simple without frills, the drawers are flat, the sides are paneled. The bronzes on the other hand are very worked, quite heavy and elegant. It is remarkable for the beauty of the walnut, very blond and warm, waxed and nicely patinated by time, by its small size and its beautiful proportions. It is in perfect condition, the top is not original but was replaced in the 19th century.., some drawer bottoms have been restored, and slide perfectly.
