Pair Of White Marble And Gilded Bronze Candelabra - 19th Century
Pair of white marble and gilt bronze candelabra, Louis XVI style.
Elegant pair of five-light candelabra, composed of a central white marble shaft resting on a square base with four spindle feet. Richly decorated with gilt bronze, the decoration features motifs from the Louis XVI repertoire.
Rows of pearls, laurel friezes, water leaf friezes, volutes, and acanthus leaves.
The finely chiseled arms are balanced around the central shaft. The gilding is original and very well preserved. Cleaning has been carried out to restore the gilding and original shine of these two pieces.
