"Louis XVI Style Bed In Gilded Wood, Late 19th Century"
Louis XVI style bed in gilded wood, made at the end of the 19th century. The head of the bed is decorated with piastres all around its perimeter. The foot of the bed is composed of two columns covered with acanthus leaves topped with two imposing pine cones. The head of our bed is upholstered and covered with a fabric with floral decoration including a halo in the lower part, also visible on the back of the bed (which will be hidden by the presence of the box spring and the mattress) - see photo 4. Very simple assembly system ensured by four lag screws. The structure of our bed is very stable. Indeed, two metal reinforcements were installed under the rounded back of the headboard (see last photo). Set in house condition. We note an original gilding and therefore an old patina of old burnished gold color. The interior dimensions will allow to receive a 140 x 190 bedding. These dimensions are precisely 146.5cm between the brackets of the lompants and 194cm between the connecting dice of the feet.
