Large Longwy Enamel Vase, Chevreuse Decor By Maurice-paul Chevallier, Mid-20th Century
Artist: Maurice-paul Chevallier (1892-1987)
Very beautiful and large oblong Longwy vase (ref. 3025), in crackled earthenware and decorated with stylized flowers and foliage in cloisonné enamels, all in a delightful shades of green enhanced with touches of gold.
Stamped stamp under the base mentioning "Chevreuse" decoration by Maurice-Paul CHEVALLIER for LONGWY. Maurice-Paul Chevallier took over the artistic direction of the Faïenceries et Emaux de Longwy in 1931.
Note slight hairline related to firing inside the neck, not visible on the outside. Very good condition otherwise.
