"Stone Column From Saint Cyr Au Mont d'Or 17th Century"
A 17th-century stone column from Saint Cyr au Mont d'Or, in perfect condition, from Brignais on the outskirts of Lyon. Probably reused, this column was originally intended to be placed on a low wall and supported a Lyon gallery. Its cubic capital is carved from the shaft, the latter two and its slightly conical base bear the mark of the stonemason: an inverted square, a point at the top of the angle. An identical mark is listed at Clos St Benoit in the hyper center of Lyon. The dimensions of its capital are 34 cm square.
