"Paperweight: Dog Head Signed Jacquemart."
Gilt bronze paperweight by the French artist Alfred Jacquemart (Paris 1824-1896). Bronze in the shape of a dog's head in profile, of the Saint Hubert breed (hunting dog) resting on a polished green marble base (Verdé Saint-Denis), veined and speckled white and carbonate. 2 slight original cracks in the structure of the marble. Very good condition with very well preserved original gilding. Signed Jacquemart at the base of the dog's head.
