Exceptional large Empire style solid silver chocolate pot resting on a circular foot. Foot, body and lid bordered with friezes of water leaves, and spectacular Eagle Head pouring spout. Body engraved with Coat of Arms framed by Lions, all stamped with a Count's Crown. Seed-shaped fretel, pivoting so as to allow a frother to pass through, specific to chocolate pots. Side handle with wooden sides. Minerva 1st Title hallmarks (.950) and Hallmark of Master Goldsmith Emile PUIFORCAT (Hallmark with the initials "EP" and a penknife) received in 1857. This exceptional large Empire style Armorial Chocolate Pot by PUIFORCAT is in excellent condition, also revised and cleaned by our Goldsmith, micro-scratches from use.
