"Pair Of Urbino's Historically Decorated Pourers Second Half Of The 19th Century"
Magnificent pair of painted and glazed majolica pourers. Both pourers feature an ovoid body resting on a tall foot, topped by a long neck ending in an elaborate, boat-shaped spout. The pourers have an elaborate, sinuous wyvern-shaped handle, complete with a long neck, wings, and legs, while the bipartite tail extends above a mask with a male face. The splendid historiated decoration covers the entire surface of the vases, extending vertically from the ground to the sky, centering on marvelous mythological scenes.
