Lovely polychrome opaline centerpiece, with a structure mounted in three tiers of cups and upper corolla, each edged with gathered rubies highlighted with a fine gold thread.
The hand-painted decoration presents delicate flowers and foliage in green and gold tones on a gradient pink background, typical of late 19th century productions.
Spectacular and refined piece, in the Victorian / Floral Art spirit, used at the time as a centerpiece or flower basket (epergne), very fashionable in bourgeois interiors around 1880-1890.
