"(nast Attributed To) Pair Of Very Large Openwork Porcelain Cups From The Empire Period"
Beautiful pair of openwork Paris porcelain navette-shaped ornamental cups, gilded with fine gold burnished with agate, France, Empire period, early 19th century (circa 1810 - 1820). Very careful production with palmettes and rosettes in biscuit bas-relief (frosted porcelain). Our cups are a real pair, in a very large format (1.5 times larger than the usual large format). The small cup in the photo is there to give the scale. The period and quality of our piece are to be compared to the productions of the Nast factory. Located in Paris, the Nast factory was created in 1784 and active until 1830. It supplied French high society and several European courts. Beautiful pieces of a format much larger than average, very rare in pairs, furnishing and decorative. Ideal for presenting fruit on a dining room table or adorning a pair of furniture as a complement to candlesticks or to form a complete garnish. Our bowls are in excellent condition; no accidents; very fresh gilding, without wear. Length: 42,5cm Width: 21cm Height: 29,3cm
