YEMENI DAGGER, KHADAAM. Handle with silver studs.
Yemen, early 20th century.
Silver, iron, wood, leather.
Total length: 28 cm; length without sheath: 26 cm; blade length: 13.5 cm.
Curved blade with one cutting edge, engraved with a bird on one side. Metal handle covered with silver with geometric patterns and silver studs on one side and smooth on the other.
Wooden scabbard covered with leather and leather cord.
Fairly good condition. A few dents on the back of the handle.
This dagger was worn with the jambiya.
