"Hungarian School, The Woman In Blue By Emeric Timar"
Oil on canvas dated 1928, depicting a woman in blue posing. Quite an intimate painting, signed lower left "Emeric Timar Paris" to be compared in the style of the painters of the Paris school. Emeric Timár (1898, Budapest – 1949, Paris) is a Hungarian painter and engraver who settled in Paris in 1925. Student and assistant of Jacques Villon, he specialized in color engraving, etching, burin and lithography.
