Art Nouveau style pewter fountain by sculptor Frédéric Deschamps, produced by Siot Decauville, depicting the myth of Leda, Tyndareus, king of Sparta, and the swan/Zeus. The eggs in the nest on the lid represent the offspring of Leda and Zeus.
The water drains through the swan's beak near Thyndare's head.

Born in Saint-Erblon (Ille-et-Vilaine) on July 9, 1850, where he died on July 17, 1920.
A student of François-Xavier Garneau and member of the Salon des Artistes Français, Frédéric Deschamps received an honorable mention in applied arts in 1893.
