Folk Art. Large glazed terracotta mask, made from a tile. Height: 32 cm. The screwwork is very expressive, it is decorated with geometric scarifications and two gold buttons. A delicious blend of primitive art and ancient theater. The artist was a cabinetmaker in Aveyron; the work dates from the 1970s.
