Oil on canvas 55 cm x 46 cm sold with its frame 70 cm x 60 cm signed and dated Georges Berger 1959 representing Notre Dame seen from the banks of the Seine. Perfect condition. Sold with invoice-certificate. Georges Berger (1908 - 1976 ) is a painter belonging to the Montmartre school of the post-war period. His sure and nervous touch is reminiscent of that of Gen Paul whom he rubbed shoulders with in the 50s on the hill. His favorite subjects remain the views of Paris, and the views of Honfleur; his hometown.
